Memo to business leaders who want future workers prepared for STEM careers.  Think beyond traditional boundaries. This article illustrates the need to think beyond schools as places to mentor, and inspire, youth to STEM careers.  Volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs can be such places, if the business community provides the resources, and thinks of them as "distribution points" where they can connect with future workers.
