Mapping your Network - Read article
By tutormentor2 @ 10:05 AM :: 134 Views :: 0 Comments :: Conferences and Training Opportunities, Understanding Tutor/Mentor Connection concepts

I encourage you to read this blog article by Valdis Krebs. http://bit.ly/4e4rPd

He shows how he and another friend will be speaking at the Tutor/Mentor Leadership and Networking Conference in Chicago next week as a result of the connecting that we began on the Omidyar.net forum several years ago.

I don't yet have a map showing how the connections we've made with each other have led to actions that help you, or help me, but this is a goal of mine. This is also an activity that youth in high school or college could do to understand their personal networks, and to learn how they can mobilize their networks to help them solve life problems, or to solve world problems.

If you're in the Chicago area I encourage you to attend the conference. The web site is http://www.tutormentorconference.org

Even if you cannot attend, I hope you'll read the blog articles at http://tutormentor.blogspot.com and http://cabriniblog.blogspot.com and pass these on to people in your own network. As you do that you will be applying the ideas that Valdis Krebs is writing about, and you will be using your own personal network to help us help inner city kids.
