Dear Youth Tutoring/Mentoring Program Leaders,

Summer is a great time to prepare for a successful school year!

You know you have a good program, but your management, funders, or board are talking about better articulating your success.  You've started trying to imagine how to mark your ongoing progress for the coming school year.  If this sounds like a familiar scenario, join us online this month and next to learn about how to measure and articulate your performance.  The Center for What Works is pleased to invite you to join us for a two-part Performance Measurement Training webinar (online seminar) with a focus on Youth Tutoring/Mentoring programs. Take charge of your tutoring/mentoring program before school starts this fall!

Who Should Attend:  Nonprofit executive directors, development staff and board members who seek to strengthen their grasp and understanding of performance measurement, specifically program outcomes and learn how a simple tool can strengthen their organization.

Training Webinar:  Ever wonder how to implement your strategic plan?  If you've been involved in the process of developing the strategy for your nonprofit, or if you need to act on it and are not quite sure where to begin, this two hour training session is for you.  Articulating the results and success stories for your organization may be the difference between achieving your mission-based outcomes and simply having a lofty vision.  Since effective performance measurement is a critical component of building a healthy and stable organization, increasing your comfort with various tools, tips, and strategies will help you recognize opportunities and solutions that might otherwise pass you by.

This webinar (web-based seminar) is intended to offer an introduction to performance measurement and to help organizations with a focus on Youth Tutoring/Mentoring Programs understand the distinctions between planning, evaluation and benchmarking. It provides a demystifying explanation of some of the common strategic tools in use and explores how they might work together for greatest impact.  The webinar also provides concrete ideas to assist participants in receiving buy-in within their organizations. This two hour group session is held online in central standard time. Registrants will receive call-in information and other instructions a few days before the event.

Participant Benefits:  Participants will gain an understanding of the importance of measurement in order to manage by results.  Specifically, they will gain:

  • Examples from a researched set of particular, actionable, realistic, and timely outcomes and indicators to model for implementation in their organization
  • An editable performance measurement tool and tips for its use
  • Acquired knowledge of techniques to continuously improve their metrics

Our Method:  We create a peer-to-peer benchmarking opportunity with the understanding that organizational participants have an enormous amount to learn from each other.  We introduce concepts and specific examples of outcomes and indicators to help participants grasp what to measure.  Then, they are facilitated by our training structure to share their challenges, break-throughs, and results with their peers.

Registration is limited to 10 participants, so sign-up early to reserve your spot!!
