JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR OF MENTOR AND VOLUNTEER SERVICES
DEPARTMENT: PROGRAM OPERATIONS
CENTER: ELLIOTT DONNELLEY YOUTH CENTER
COMMUNITY: BASED IN BRONZEVILLE BUT SERVES MULTIPLE COMMUNITIES
JOB PURPOSE: This position provides leadership, coordination, and direction to Chicago Youth Centers’ mentoring programs and agency-wide volunteer services. Responsible for overall direction, management, and supervision of targeted community-based and school-based mentoring programs, coordination of corporate and community volunteer groups with agency and center needs, program and contract administration, human resources management, tracking and reporting statistical data and program outcomes, and staff assistance to a volunteer board.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree Preferred/Bachelor’s Degree Required in Human Services or related field. Three to five years of experience in the development and implementation of community-based and site-based mentoring programs. Two years of management/supervisory experience. Strong Communication Skills (Verbal and Written). Computer Expertise (MS Word, Excel, etc). Energetic and outgoing personality.
