The Chicago Tribune is hosting a panel discussion on the topic of philanthropy on Tuesday, March 15 at the Northwestern University Law School in Chicago. Editorial Page Editor Bruce Dold will be interviewing panelists from Groupon, SCE, The Joyce Foundation, Aspire and Metropolitan Family Services. Would you be able to share information about this event with your colleagues at Cabrini Connections? If you have an events calendar or place we can display posters or leave fliers, we would appreciate the exposure and would love to have members of the nonprofit community at the event. The attached image is a flier that contains all of this information.
Follow the Tutor/Mentor Connecton blog and use the ideas to build support for tutor/mentor programs in Chicago or in your own community.
At the Jan 2011 Mentoring Summit in Washington, DC First Lady Michelle Obama offered her support for Mentoring. Now what can you and teams of volunteers in companies and churches and colleges do to help build the infrastructure so effective tutor/mentor programs are in more places?
