"Perhaps we cannot prevent the world from being a world in which children are tortured. But we can reduce the number of tortured children. And if you don't help us, who else in the world can help us do this?" quote from Albert Camus
Click on any listing and see the activities of the Cabrini Connections tutor/ mentor program which is located at 800 W. Huron in Chicago. You'll also see examples of other great programs around the country. Go to the LINKS section of this Web site, and you'll find reading, math, writing web sites with fund things you can do with your kids, your mentees (and yourself) to build skills. At the HOT LINKS section you'll also find many more examples of great programs, research, and of efforts communities and states are making to support them. Without the generous support of dozens of generous donors, Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection would not be able to build life-changing connections between youth and volunteer tutors, mentors, coaches and change agents. Please add your contribution to support this work. Mail your tax-deductible contribution to the address at the bottom of this web page, or visit the Donor page at http://www.cabriniconnections.net/Donors.htm |
