The Federation for Community Schools is a coalition of individuals and organizations working together to promote policies that support the advancement of community schools throughout Illinois. The Federation for Community Schools comes out of the exceptional work of the Chicago Campaign to Expand Community Schools (a funder collaborative providing financial resources to community schools which sunsets in the fall of 2007) and the Chicago Coalition for Community Schools (a coalition of community school practitioners engaged directly in community school work).  The Federation was born out of the vision of both the Campaign and the Coalition to continue the community school movement in Illinois.
