vision of educational reform. Their goal is to infuse the dialogue on what needs
to be done with objective information; find statewide common ground;
and build public will and civic action for meaningful change.
The web site is full of great resources to help citizens better understand and debate the issues relating to public education in Illinois.

| The Federation for Community Schools | The Federation for Community Schools is a coalition of individuals and
organizations working together to promote policies that support the
advancement of community schools throughout Illinois.
The
Federation for Community Schools comes out of the exceptional work of
the Chicago Campaign to Expand Community Schools (a funder
collaborative providing financial resources to community schools which
sunsets in the fall of 2007) and the Chicago Coalition for Community
Schools (a coalition of community school practitioners engaged directly
in community school work). The Federation was born out of the vision
of both the Campaign and the Coalition to continue the community school
movement in Illinois.
