 Description

The maps shown on this web site are just a few examples of computer generated maps the T/MC has created to show where tutor/mentor programs are needed, why they are needed, who is already operating, and who could be helping more. Our goal is to make these maps interactive, so that a visitor can enlarge sections of the map and can click on symbols shown to get contact information and web links to the tutor/mentor sites, schools and other information shown on the map. Below is an example of how this system might work. We're now working with a team of talented and dedicated volunteers. We seek business, university and philanthropy partners who value this system, want to use it in their own community, and don't want to reinvent the cost of creating a system that could be used by multiple stakeholders in multiple locations. If you are interested in investing or volunteering time, email tutormentor2@earthlink.net or visit the on-line GIS planning team at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TutorMentor_GIS_Project/
