Youth Network Council would like to invite you to participate in an application workshop to gain more information about the Youth Services Capacity Enhancement Program (YSCEP) and how you can apply. YSCEP is a program developed by Youth Network Council to help build the capacity of faith-based and community-based organizations serving at-risk youth in Chicago. The program, funded by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Strengthening Communities Fund under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), is specifically aimed at addressing the broad economic recovery issues present in disadvantaged and hard-to-serve populations. The goal of YSCEP is to stimulate faith-based and community-based organizations; building their capacity to provide services to at-risk youth and their families in underserved populations of Chicago and maximizing their social impact as they provide services to address economic recovery issues present in their communities, including helping low-income and at-risk youth and their families secure and retain employment, earn higher wages, obtain better quality jobs, and gain greater access to state and Federal benefits and tax credits. YSCEP services are offered in the form of training, technical assistance, and financial assistance around five (5) critical areas: organizational development, leadership development, program development, collaboration and community engagement, and evaluation of effectiveness. Capacity-building services are offered at NO COST to eligible organizations.
