As mentors, we play key roles in the lives of children, just as teachers and parents. It is important to constantly challenge and strengthen the lives of our mentees. CRESPAR, Center for Research on the Education of Students Placed At Risk, works to fight the failing programs that put children into a “sorting paradigm” within schools and fights for a “talent development” model. The program was initiated by Johns Hopkins and Howard Universities in 1994.
