What is Family Sports Festival?
The Kids Golf Foundation has partnered with World Sport Chicago to expose thousands of youth to golf at Family Sports Festival on Saturday, September 18, 2010. The festival is designed to provide a free day of fun and fitness for Chicago children and adults alike - creating not only lasting memories but providing the knowledge, resources and inspiration needed to build healthy lifestyles and ongoing sports involvement.  

Location:         Midway Plaisance Park in Chicago, IL
(1130 Midway Plaisance North, Chicago, IL 60637)

Time:              11:00 am – 6:00 pm

Volunteer shifts are still available for those interested in supporting this event! You may volunteer for multiple shifts, or just help out for one and spend time visiting the many other activities at the festival – including special appearances from professional athletes and activities hosted by teams like the Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox, and many, many more!
 
          Volunteer Shifts:
Pre-Event Shift:             9:30 am – 10:30 am
Morning Shift:               10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Afternoon Shift:             2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Post-Event Shift:            6:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Golf experience is not necessary! Volunteers will help attendees with the putting, chipping, full swing, and golf trivia stations. High School and College Students and/or Athletes are encouraged to volunteer and can receive community service hours.  Volunteers must be at least 13 years old.

2. Print the Volunteer Information Form.
3. Complete the form, including which shifts will work best for you.
4. Fax the form back to the Foundation at (630) 466-0914 or email the information to volunteer@kidsgolffoundation.org.
5. The staff will contact you about assigned shifts and more event details.

Mayor Daley’s Chicago Sports Festival – Save the Date!
Mayor Daley’s Chicago Sports Festival is back for another run of tournaments and festival activities during winter break! The Kids Golf Foundation will join the event for its 10th year with a SNAG Interactive Zone, and is looking for volunteers to take part in the experience.
 
Location:       McCormick Place, Chicago, IL
Date:               Saturday, December 18 and Sunday, December 19, 2010
Time:              10:00 am – 4:00 pm ~Volunteer shifts have been created.
