Mentoring partnerships in different states have between $350,000 and $1 million in annual operating funds.  The Tutor/Mentor Connection has never had more than $225,000 in a single year, yet we serve the third largest city in the country. Support events like Cabrini Madness, and you can help us raise the money needed to help tutor/mentor programs grow in many locations of Chicago and other cities.

If you want to help inner-city youth in Chicago have a full range of volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs, or if you are using this information in your own community, please help us find donors who will provide us the same leve of funding that is available in other cities.

In order to keep this resourse available and FREE, we must find additional donor support.
-----------------------------

When you make a charitable contribution to the Tutor/Mentor Connection, you support tutor/mentor programs throughout Chicagoland. Half of the funds T/MC raises each year go toward creating products and services that draw volunteers and donors to other area programs. The rest supports the Cabrini Connections Tutor/Mentor Program that serves teens in the Cabrini-Green area of Chicago.

You can choose to send your contribution to T/MC, Cabrini Connections, or any of the tutor/mentor programs listed in the Program Locator.    Furthermore, you might ask donors in your own community to duplicate the Tutor/Mentor Connection strategy to support tutor/mentor programs in different cities than Chicago.

Our slogan is "if it is to be, it is up to me." We have made a commitment to support tutor/mentor programs in the Chicago region. We hope that you will make the same commitment by making a donation each year to an area program.  Since workplace fund raising campaigns are starting soon, this is a great way to make small monthly donations that add up to sizable donations each year. We hope you'll encourage friends, family and co-workers to write Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection into their giving plans this fall.

Without the generosity of many corporations, foundations and individuals who have contributed more than $5.1 million dollars over the past 15 years, there would be no Tutor/Mentor Connection and no Cabrini Connections. For more information on how T/MC uses donations, visit this page.

Workplace fund raising campaigns support Tutor/Mentor Connection. Visit this link to learn how you, your college or your workplace can support the T/MC with a payroll deduction donation to Community Shares of Illinois.
