Bassill, founder of Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection in 1993 resigned from his role as President, CEO of the Cabrini Connections organization in July 2011. Bassill writes, "Even though CC and Tutor/Mentor Connection are separating into two different organizational structures, I will continue to use this blog, networking, and the ideas and resources shared on the T/MC web site to help leaders in business, religion, politics, sports and media build a collective understanding of a tutor/mentor program as a place connecting a wide range of people and ideas in a long term effort to help kids move through school and into jobs and careers."

Sign them up for the email newsletter. Encourage them to set aside part of their charitable giving to fund the on-going operations of one, or more tutor/mentor programs in Chicago.

Our slogan is "if it is to be, it is up to me." We have made a commitment to support tutor/mentor programs in the Chicago region. However, we are doing this with a fraction of the money needed to serve the third largest urban area in the country.
