Mark your calendar and plan to attend the Nov. 21, 2008 Tutor/Mentor Leadership and Networking Conference which will be held at the Chicago Field Museum.  This conference intends to showcase the work being done by various tutoring and/or mentoring programs, share effective practices via networking and workshops, and draw greater public attention to tutor/mentor programs throughout the region.  One of our goals is to help program build blogs, such as this one we helped a group in Roseland area of Chicago create.  If you want help starting a blog like this email tutormentor2@earthlink.net

Visit the Conference web site to see a suggested agenda of panels and workshop topics. If you would like to be on one of these panels, or suggest a different topic, call Nicole White at 312-492-9614.  Registration at this event is limited to 150 people, so send in your registration and payment today.

The conference was held in Chicago today. Advance enrollment was about 110. We had a good turnout despite bitterly cold weather. We encourage you to post comments here or at our Ning.com site. Thanks to everyone who participated and to the Chicago Field Museum for hosting.
