As the number of people in our nation’s prison soar, so too do the challenges to schools that must educate those children left behind.

Visit http://catalyst-chicago.org/issue/index.php?issueNo=131 to read more about this issue.  Come to the May 17 and 18 conference to meet people who are working to provide volunteer-based tutoring/mentoring for youth living in neighborhoods with high poverty, and with large concentrations of ex-offenders and youth with incarcerated parents.

Use this discussion forum to talk about what you're doing to provide such programs, and the challenges you face in providing comprehensive, long-term tutoring/mentoring.
