I did a search on Google tonight for the term "diversity pipeline youth mentoring" and found many articles that illustrate how colleges and legal communities are thinking strategically about creating more diversity in their institutions. I posted links to a few of these in the Poverty/Law section of the Links Library. During the May Conference, Karina Ayala of the Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Lend A Hand Program will lead a discussion of legal pipeline strategies. In another workshop, a team from the University of Toledo will talk about how they are exploring ways to support volunteer-based tutoring/mentoring in their city. If your company or university is considering a diversity strategy, I encourage you to send a represenative, or join us in discussing this on-line.
