A Blue Print For Success: Stakeholders Conference on the Economic Development of Young Males

In collaboration with the Tutor Mentor Leadership and Networking Conference at Northwestern University Law School on May 17 -18, 2007, the Fathers For The Future Foundation, is hosting a topic for the event, which includes one panel discussion and four workshops. A Blueprint for Success is a professional conference that encourages open participation and dialogue from the stakeholders that are directly affected, and can benefit from financially independent young men. This conference will explore the challenges to developing independently stable young men through the lens of mentorship and role modeling.

By combining this discussion with the Tutor/Mentor Leadership and Networking Conference we connect groups focused on K-16 and College to Career mentoring with groups focused on young men, age 18 to 30,  who have gotten off track and now need extra help.  Since poverty is the root challenge in the neighborhoods where these programs operate, this creates the opportunities for more organizations, foundations and businesses to work together to build a better blueprint for helping youth move from a birth in poverty to jobs and careers by age 30.

The Fathers For the Future Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation serving Chicago, Illinois. The mission of the Fathers For The Future Foundation is to educate young men between the ages of 18 - 30 in parenting, life-skills, financial management, and computer training; and assist young men in starting their own businesses (micro-enterprise) or attending trade school, community college, and an accredited post secondary institution (education).
