In one of the conference comments, the write wrote, "Blogs are not a good fit for everyone's community and the work we do. Blogs are not the answers for everyone and everything."

I agree. At Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection, we're learning and innovating as we go. Blogs are just one tool we  use to communicate. That's why the links on the T/MC web site provide information about all sorts of Intenet based collaboration and eLearning.  What works best for you?  Please share your own ideas for ways to build a network of people who work together for a common purpose?

Why Blog?  I encourage you to visit http://www.ck-blog.com/cks_blog/2006/11/oh_marketers_th.html and learn from marketers why they blog.  Click the blogmap and you'll find a pdf with comments from individual bloggers.

One wrote "If I were publishing a newspaper, a press would cost me $30 million, and I'd have many additional expenses just to reach 12,000 subscribers every week. Instead, I send $14.95 each month to Typepad."

For non profits, blogging is one of the best ways to tell your story to potential volunteers and donors and to attract the support your program needs to thrive.
