Since 2000 the Tutor/Mentor Connection has been documenting actions that have led to the creation of this web site, and that encourage a growing number of people to find this information, read it, discuss it with others, then act as a volunteer, donor, leader and/or participant in one or more volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs in Chicago or in other cities. From 2000 to 2007 more than 900 actions were documented, but there was no way for visitors to easily view these actions. Thus, while we were collecting valuable information, it was not having the impact we hoped it would have. In late 2007 a volunteer offered to rebuild the OHATS, and in May 2008 we have launched a new version. You can see this at http://www.vattsystems.com/ohats/Home.aspx Visitors can view charts like on the home page, by visiting the Metrics, and Advanced Metrics pages. To log in and view documented actions, email tutormentor2@earthlink.net for a username and password. To help visitors understand the meaning of the metrics charts, and to know more about the information being collected. We've set up a discussion group at http://tutormentorconnection.ning.com . This is where we also can discuss enhancements that are still needed, and where volunteers and/or donors can connect and offer their help.

In the About T/MC section I've changed OHATS to Documentation of Actions. OHATS stands for "Organizational History and Tracking System" and has been used to document actions we take to achieve the T/MC mission. This link points to an interactive site where people working with us can log in and document actions toward common goals, and where visitors and users can sort to see who did what, when, and how often. If you'd like to know more about this join the discussion group on the OHATS pages and ask your questions.
