Today, August 14th, 2007 at 2pm, Cabrini Connections, along with several other organizations had a brainstorming meeting to gear up for the Volunteer Recruitment Campaign. I encourage everyone to read my blog at http://nicolecabrini.blogspot.com/ and let me know what ideas you have for what we should do next in order to recruit volunteers.

I also met with Nicole and Dan last week to discuss possible volunteer recruitment.  Throughout the meeting we focused on printing ads in neighborhood newspapers for  greater outreach.  I was lucky enough to volunteer some time for a neighborhood festival inwhich I met some sponsors.  We will further discuss their contribution to volunteering during this coming week.  While all this is going on I am still working on meeting with several southside Alderman.  I hope to at least meet with their staff to discuss outreach to their ward organizations.  I am hoping to not only add these groups to the locator but to help increase volunteer participation.  If anyone has any ideas or can help with recruitment plesae feel free to respond.  I have also researched and increased the number of community organizations I am going to contact.
