While there was a face-to-face Tutor/Mentor Leadership Conference in Chicago on May 25 and 26, 2006, most people were not be able to attend that conference. In addition, even the people who did attend were not able to attend every workshop, and were not meet many of the other people who will attend. Thus, we've set up the eConference strategy.

During May and November (and possibly August and February) we'll offer discussions in this space, hosted by tutor/mentor leaders and supporters from anywhere in the world. We hope this encourages some people to attend the conference in Chicago, while it engages others in the topics being discussed at the Chicago conference.

We'll also link to on-line conferences being hosted by other organizations. For instance, at http://www.alado.net/webheads and http://www.alado.net/econference you can see workshops delivered in 2004 and 2005 through the Webheads Convergence.
At http://www.tutormentorconference.bigstep.com/generic54.html you can see on-line forums hosted in May 2006.

At http://www.tutormentorexchange.net/partner/cc/conference/may2005/directory.asp you can find an eConference Directory and another overview of the eConference strategy.

If you'd like to know more, or host a workshop, post an introduction here, or email Dan Bassill at tutormentor2@earthlink.net .
