During the Tutor/Mentor Conference one workshop was a panel discussion intended to showcase ways some tutor/mentor programs engage the talent of business volunteers.
Panel members were
- Bart Phillips, Executive Director, Community Building Tutors, http://www.cbtutors.org
- Dan Bassill, President, Cabrini Connections, http://www.cabriniconnections.net
- Katherine Moone, East Village Youth Program, http://www.evyp.org
- Angel Diaz, Midtown Educational Foundation, http://www.midtown-metro.org/
The speakers shared ideas of how they involve volunteers beyond tutoring mentoring, and pointed to place on their web sites which itemize lists of volunteer opportunities.
Many of the panelist are using services like http://www.volunteermatch.org and http://www.idealist.org to submit volunteer job descriptions and recruit volunteers. Here's a link on the T/MC site with many search engines you can use for this purpose.

- Dance Choreographer for Event
