The term "social enterprise" as grown over the past few years. It describes an organization that is able to earn income to support its social vision.

That's actually a very simplistic definition. I encourage you to visit the http://www.socialedge.org forum and take part in the various discussions and blogs that are posted there. From this you can learn more about this concept.

As you learn about concepts of social enterprise, I urge you to return to this space and work with the T/MC and others to apply the concept to strategies that support the growth of constantly improving, volunteer-based organizations that mentor youth through school and into jobs and careers.

In many places people are talking of mapping networks in a form of social network analysis. In many places I talk of networks of purpose. I've been trying to map these ideas.  I share them in in the Tutor/Mentor Institute

I've been looking for a way to not only map the ideas, but to link the various ideas on the map to discussion forums where people can discuss these ideas, and relate them to other issues outlined on the map.  I found a web site today that does this much better than I do: http://www.kwfdn.org/map/map.aspx

In the LINKS LIBRARY of the T/MC site I put links to many organizations that map ideas, or demonstrate uses of concept mapping. I feel if we can harness this talent we can connect more people with our ideas, and help them understand solutions as part of complext problem solving.

As the Business School Connection begins to recruit teams from various universities, I encourage each team to find ways to map its ideas, and to make these maps interactive so that teams from multiple locations can interact with each other.
