The Mount Prospect Mentor program is coordinated by through the Human Services Department, and is based at Euclid, John Jay and Robert Frost (south) elementary schools, Holmes Jr. High, and River Trails Middle School.
Volunteers are paired one-on-one with a student for a minimum of 10 weeks, and meet one evening per week with that child in a group setting. The coordinator and volunteers pre-plan activities, and everyone has fun while the children improve their social skills. This program has received rave reviews from teachers and administrators alike, as well as parents and children.
