The Hyde Park Jewish Community Center was established in 1949. Since its founding, it has served the local community through a number of rented facilities in synagogues, schools and commercial locations. In September of 2000, it moved to its permanent home at 5200 S. Hyde Park Blvd., a facility it shares with Congregation Rodfei Zedek. The building includes two early childhood classrooms, an outdoor playground, a sports and recreation gym, meeting rooms and administrative offices. In addition, JCC has access to a social hall, library, kitchens, sanctuary, and additional classrooms and meeting rooms.
