MYS is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian child welfare agency that serves otherwise homeless abused and neglected or delinquent youth under the direction of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services or the Department of Corrections. We also serve at risk youth in the general population by providing services to schools or via specialized programming specifically tailored to meet the needs of a community. MYS currently offers therapeutic residential care for boys, independent living services for young men and women transitioning from foster care and group home settings to adult independence, and truancy prevention and anti violence services to schools.
