Erie Neighborhood House offers opportunities for volunteers to tutor adult English-language learners and at-risk children, youth and teens, through the following programs:
· Tutoring to Educate for Aims and Motivations (TEAM): This college preparation program pairs Chicago-area professionals as mentors with eighth graders and high school students to focus on academics, college preparation and life skills in weekly one-on-one sessions.
· Community Literacy: Volunteer tutors work with adults who are learning English, studying for their GED, and/or preparing for the U.S. citizenship exam.
· Language Exchange: English learners are paired with Spanish learners in this conversational tutoring program
· After School Program: Volunteer tutors assist children ages 5-12 with school work.
